John B. Chenoweth
1953-2010

With great sadness, Coffey Music has lost one of the finest instructors we've ever had. John Chenoweth dedicated his life to guitar teaching and helping others find the joy in guitar playing. His constant desire to help others is a trait very difficult to find anymore, and one of the things about him we will miss the most. We feel honored to have been able to spend the last years of his life watching him work with both young and old in the capacity that he lived for.

During his brief struggle with cancer, John stayed in high spirits and continued to teach through the pain and discomfort. As soon as he would be released from the hospital, he would be back in his studio teaching, and continue until he would have to go back in. We admire that drive and appreciate all that he did for us.

We send our condolences out to his family and other friends during this difficult time.
