Get to know Alisha O’Malley:
Why Did You Become A Music Teacher?
I’ve been living and breathing music for as long as I can remember. I believe that music is an essential part of life and I consider it a privilege to be able to share it with others. Teaching is the natural progression of having years of experience and using that to inspire others in their journey. It’s exciting knowing that you’re potentially apart of developing that lifelong love for music in someone else.
What is your coolest experience in music so far?
My favorite thing about violin playing has been in training my ear to create spontaneous melodies on the spot when playing in jam situations with other artists. It’s been a lot of fun to have the violin as a tool to add to original songs written by myself and other local musicians. Being able to record violin tracks for different projects and explore new ideas is something I continue to love doing.
Alisha Lynn is an accomplished Violinist, live performer, teacher and music mentor. She grew up in a music-loving environment and started playing the violin and taking lessons at the age of 9. Alisha was classically trained at a Suzuki School near Chicago where she grew up before relocating to the Baltimore area. While residing in Maryland she finished school and studied at the Peabody Musical Institute.
Since being classically trained, Alisha has enjoyed performing on a variety of stages from concert halls to church services as well as outdoor music festivals and late night bar jams. It wasn’t until her mid twenties that Alisha realized her love for singing and is currently working on a debut album (indie/electronic/folk). Her love for singing is matched beautifully with an incredible songwriting ability that digs deep into pains and triumphs of life.
You can catch Alisha Lynn playing live in the Maryland music scene with a variety of talented bands and also as a solo act. She is always keen to collaborate with other artists of all genres! To learn more about Alisha you can also visit here website: https://www.lynnviolin.com/
