Kindermusik is German for children's music, and for over 25 years children have experienced the joy of music through this unique broad-based curricula. It allows children to explore their world through music. With the prorgrams' emphasis on process rather than performance, Kindermusik allows the teacher to create an environment that nurtures the total development of the child, while laying the foundation for musical growth and later formal instruction.

Kindermusik is a gently structured, flexible curriculum that allows the child to learn and develop at his or her own pace - it is not a toddler prep school that pushes young children to learn. The goal is not necessarily to make your child a musician, but to make your child more eager to learn, more awake and wholly alive in the world.

A rich assortment of musical activities are designed to promote language development, symbolic thinking, coordination, and social interactions which enhances the cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Kindermusik Village
Ages: Newborn through 18 months

So much is happening that first year and Kindermusik helps you sing, dance, and play your way through it. You'll get a developmentally sound curriculum thatıs based on more than 25 years in research and child development.

14 week semester: Class meets once a week for 45 minutes. Parent or caregiver is actively involved throughout the class. Please make arrangements for other siblings. Classes begin in September and mid-January at Coffey Music in Westminster.

Class Size: approximately 10 - 12 children

Materials: two vinyl see-through bag with handles and snaps; one baby's literature book for each unit; four 4-paneled wall banners; two audio CD with high-quality music for just listening and moving at home; an instrument.

Kindermusik Our Time
Ages: 1 1/2 to 3 years

Emotionally and physically your toddler is up and down and this Kindermusik class helps him understand and express those highs and lows - all in a developmentally-sound curriculum that's based on more than 25 years of research in child development.

14 week semester: Class meets once a week for 45 minutes. Classes begin in September and mid-January at Coffey Music in Westminster.

Class size: approximately 12 children. Children attend class with parent or adult caregiver. Please plan on making arrangements for other siblings.

Materials: Two (2) audio CDs, two (2) Music and Movement books, a Home Activity book, and a specially designed instrument.

Kindermusik Imagine That!
Ages: 3 to 5 years

I know preschool teachers who will say they can tell a difference between a child who has been in Kindermusik, and one who hasn't. More confident, bursting with ideas, and ready to learn, this preschool curriculum helps develop these skills and more. We use a unique, child-centered approach that's based on more than 25 years of research in child development.

14 week semester: Class meets once a week for 45 minutes. Parents or caregivers needs to attend the entire first class with student. No siblings allowed in the first class. After the first class, parent or caregiver is actively involved in the last 15 minutes of each class. Siblings are welcome during family time. Classes begin in September and mid-January at Coffey Music in Westminster.

Class size: approximately 8 - 10 children.

Materials: Full-color fold-out play set, two (2) literature books, an instrument, Family Activity Book, two (2) audio CDs. Your child will need a backpack.
